This is one of those recipes that sounds like it shouldn’t work… but completely does.
Crispy samosas layered like lasagna, melted cheese pulling through, a bit of heat, a bit of crunch. It’s indulgent, messy in the best way, and perfect for sharing (or not sharing).
If you’ve got a bag of Zulekha Samosas in the freezer, you’re already halfway there.

Why This Recipe Works
- Texture on texture: crispy pastry + soft spiced filling + melted cheese
- Zero effort base: samosas replace pasta sheets (no prep needed)
- Balanced flavours: spice, salt, creaminess, and a bit of freshness
- Quick comfort food: from freezer to oven in under 30 minutes
It’s basically a shortcut to something that feels way more impressive than it is.
Ingredients
- 1 bag Zulekha Samosas
- Oil (for frying or air frying)
- Mozzarella cheese (be generous)
- Red bell pepper (diced)
- Jalapeños (sliced)
- Olives (optional, but worth it)
How To Make It
1. Cook the samosas
Take your samosas straight out of the freezer and fry them in hot oil (or air fryer) until:
- Golden brown
- Crispy on the outside
Don’t rush this. The crispiness is what makes the whole dish work.

2. Build your base
Place around 10–12 samosas into a tray.
Then:
- Gently crush them using a spoon
- Keep it chunky, not mashed
You’re creating rough layers, not a smooth base.

3. Add your toppings
Layer everything on top:
- A generous handful of mozzarella
- Diced bell peppers
- Jalapeños for heat
- Olives for that salty bite
Press it slightly so everything holds together.

4. Bake it
Bake at 180°C (fan) for 10–15 minutes until:
- Cheese is melted and slightly golden
- Everything is heated through
- You still have a bit of crisp underneath

What You Get
- Crispy edges from the samosa pastry
- Soft, spiced filling inside
- Gooey cheese pulling through everything
- Little hits of heat and freshness
It’s chaotic in the best way.

What To Serve With It
Keep it simple, this dish already does a lot:
- Garlic mayo or chilli sauce for dipping
- A fresh side salad to balance the richness
- Mint yoghurt dip if you want something cooling
- Even some loaded fries if you’re going all in
It’s fun, a bit indulgent, and one of those recipes you end up making again because it just hits. And once you try it… regular lasagna might feel a bit boring.
